Heathfield Community School Expansion

The new multi-million pound expansion at Heathfield Community School is now complete. The expansion consisted of two new teaching blocks and has meant that the school capacity has increased by 150 to 1350.

Block 1: Performing Arts: two state of the art performance studios.

Block 2: Science and Arts: science labs, general teaching spaces and also new art rooms.

Halsall Construction were appointed to construct both teaching blocks to enhance the School’s expansion within this area of learning. Both new buildings sit on the outskirts of the school grounds. This project was delivered on time and on budget.

Deputy Head Teacher John Fletcher added on the completion of the project “These state of the art buildings offer superb teaching and learning environments and are of the highest quality incorporating many innovative design features".

It is a fantastic example of partnership working between the School, County Council, Futures for Somerset, Grainge Architects and the Contractor. Thank you to all involved.
